Rupert Whitaker
Rupert arrived late in filmmaking after a successful career as a chef and having set up various well-regarded, independent restaurants around the UK. He started out as a runner on several French film sets, soon catching the bug, and, after doing some foundation training at the London Film Academy, went on to AD his first film ‘12 in a Box’.
Following that he went on to AD on Vicky’s first feature film ‘Lady Godiva’ resulting in him being made the second producer, handling all of the post production and the French shoot on 35mm.
Alongside work with JFP, Rupert has had success in fixing, field producing and location managing on several Discovery Channel and History Channel series. Added to this he is a dedicated camera operator; under his belt are a bevy of corporate, music and drama productions.
